Auto Assign

When you schedule an event in a room, you can have the resources stored in that room automatically assigned to the event. For example, if you keep 25 chairs in Classroom 2, you can have every event scheduled to use classroom 2 automatically use those 25 chairs. This is accomplished by marking the default location Auto-Assign (AA).

If, however, a resource is simply stored in a room, you can omit the Auto-Assign setting to keep that resource free for the events that really need it. Of course, you can assign that resource to an event scheduled in the default location—it simply requires you to manually assign the resource.
