Moving to Paya EFT Payments

In late 2025 merchant accounts for CDM+ clients will undergo a back-end migration for ACH gift and payment processing. This migration will replace the current ACH processor, FirstACH, with Paya EFT, a subsidiary of Nuvei Corp. Paya EFT is the same processor used for payroll direct deposits.

Unlike the 2023 migration to Paragon, this migration is one level further removed from CDM+ and has minimal impact on gift and payment processing systems. Both Suran Systems, Inc. and Nuvei understand the critical importance of processing gifts and payments accurately and consistently, and we’ve put a number of measures in place to ensure a smooth transition.

While nearly all ACH payment processing processing functions will remain the same, there a few important changes with this migration. Please carefully read the information below to understand this migration, and don’t hesitate to reach out to CDM+ support with any questions.

What is changing with this migration?

The following items will change as part of this migration. Each of these are detailed in their own section below.

  • ODFI Company ID

  • Maximum Payment Limits

  • Timing for ACH Payment Settlements

  • Withdrawal and Deposit Identifiers

What is NOT changing with this migration?

  • Fees, including the $10 ACH return fee

  • How payments are initiated and processed into CDM+

  • Recurring payments

  • Credit card gift/payment processing

  • Payroll Direct Deposit processing

ODFI Company ID

One of the following ACH Company ID numbers will be used to transfers funds between your gives/payers and your organization’s bank account:

  • 3383693141

  • 4460522024

You may wish to nofify both your givers and your bank of these new numbers to ensure a smooth transfer.

The vast majority of transactions will process without issue, but more restrictive financial institutions may require these identifiers to allow deposits and withdrawals to move through.

Maximum Payment Limits

With FirstACH, individual payments exceeding a certain amount would be flagged for manual review to verify the payment was valid. This process is changing with the move to Paya EFT.

Paya EFT uses an automated system that reviews the rolling 7-day total for payments FROM a single bank account. This is NOT the total deposit amount to your organization’s bank account, but only total payments from a single bank account of a single payer. If that total is exceeded, the gift/payment will be rejected.

We’ve analyzed historical activity for your merchant account and set this limit to a sufficiently high amount to ensure payments aren’t blocked (minimum $10,000.00). If, however, you receive an unusually large payment, it may be rejected for exceeding this limit. Contact CDM+ Support to request your limit be increased. A future enhancement to CDM+ will warn payers their payment will fail due to this limit before the payment is attempted.

Timing for ACH Payment Settlements

With this change, settlements to your organization’s bank account for ACH payments will likely arrive one day sooner than they did with FirstACH. This improvement does not increase the risk of additional return fees due to an invalid account number or insufficient funds, for example.

All financial institutions process deposits on their own schedule. You may not see a change to settlement times as a result of this migration.

Deposit Identifiers

The language for withdrawals and deposits will change slightly, but the name of your organization will still be present just as it has been for FirstACH activity.

Withdrawals from Paya EFT will appear as follows:

YOUR ORGANIZATION] WEBPAYMENT

Deposits from Paya EFT will appear as follows:

[YOUR ORGANIZATION] NET SETTLE CORPORATE ACH xxxx[AN INTERNAL ID NUMBER FOR PAYA EFT]

Testing

A small group of CDM+ clients have been piloting this migration since October 2025. The Paya EFT processor has also provided payroll direct deposit processing for all clients for the majority of 2025. Based on these experiences, both Suran and Nuvei are confident this migration will result in little-to-no disruption to normal ACH gift and payment processing operations.

Timing

Your merchant account will be migrated from FirstACH to Paya EFT before the end of 2025. Your CDM+ database(s) will be updated prior to your move to provide necessary updates in Deposit Processing to support this change. Your merchant account will be migrated at some point thereafter. You will not receive a notice with the specific date of the change, but all processing operations will continue as normal with no action required on your part.

Questions

Our goal is to ensure you enjoy the same smooth ACH gift and payment processing system with zero changes to timing or process. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to CDM+ support.
