Restrictions on Giving

In order to reduce fraud and unintentional gifts, there are several restrictions that apply when making a donation.

Minimum amount

All gifts, whether given through Engage or Text Giving, have a minimum amount of $5.

reCAPTCHA

Online gifts are protected with Google's reCAPTCHA service. This service runs silently for most gifts, but users exhibiting suspicious behavior may need to submit additional responses to verify they are, in fact, submitting a legitimate payment.

Duplicate gifts

Gifts given for the same total amount and with the same payment method cannot be repeated within a 10 minute window. These gifts will be flagged as a duplicates by Stewardship and will not be processed. Consider making a single gift to multiple funds instead of multiple gifts in rapid succession to avoid a duplicate donation.
