The contribution history for a giving unit is available on the History tab of the Giving Unit record. The Summary section lists all available contribution histories for that giving unit. Selecting a history from the Summary list will display the breakdown by giving fund for that giving unit in the Detail area. You can select multiple histories from the Summary to view a comparison of those histories in the Detail area.
CDM+ calculates the Current giving by summarizing all contributions made by the selected giving unit to the various giving funds since the end of the most recent history.
Current History
On the View History window, the History tab of the Giving Unit, and the History Comparison report, CDM+ includes a Current history. The Current history is calculated using any contribution records with a contribution date after the most recent end date of the available contribution histories. For example, if the most recent date range of any contribution history is January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, the Current history calculation will include any contributions made since December 31, 2019.
It is possible to have contributions that are not included in any contribution history, so it is a good idea to review the available histories before archiving contribution records.
